Boston College is one of the top universities in the United States.

(Currently ranked at 31st according to US News Rankings)

And as one of the highly regarded universities, they require high qualifications from applicants.

Minimum TOEFL Score for applicants is 100 but the average TOEFL score of the admitted students is 109.

They also require SAT I, two SAT subject tests, or ACT with Writing. SAT score range for admitted students is 1900-2100. For ACT it?s 29-32.

But most important factor would be your high school grades.

79% of the admitted students were ranked top 10% of their class in high school, 95% in top 25%, and 100% of them were top 50%.

Since Boston College is private school and very high regarded, it?s tuition tend to be a bit more expansive than others.

Boston College?s tuition is $40,542, plus $12.082 for housing fees, then total comes out to be $52,642.

After that, add in some other miscellaneous costs then you should be able to roughly see how much would be needed.

There are pros and cons in attending community college to transfer.

As long as you stay determined, study hard, and achieve good academic standing, there?s a good chance of successfully transferring. And community colleges have a lot cheaper tuition than regular four-year universities.

Also, if you have your eyes set up transferring to Boston College, it would be best for you to look for a community college located in Boston that frequently transfers their students to Boston College.
